With a career spanning over seven years, I have garnered valuable experience in the realm of fintech startups, particularly in the KYC department of the esteemed company, Wise. During my tenure, I actively contributed to the optimization of compliance-related processes, leveraging my expertise as a KYC Specialist. Additionally, I had the privilege of collaborating with Deel for a three-month period, where I played a pivotal role in creating and refining compliance measures while empowering geographically dispersed workforces.In my most recent endeavor, I played a pivotal role in the growth of Single.Earth as I spearheaded the development of onboarding and AML team procedures. As the first line of defense, I worked diligently to facilitate the establishment of a nature-backed economy, while skillfully managing the onboarding process for a diverse range of complex individual and business clients.My expertise extends to both Asian and European KYC procedures, which I have adeptly navigated throughout my career. Moreover, I am proud to have served as a Team Leader for over two years, overseeing and mentoring a team of more than 20 individuals, and imparting my knowledge and experience to numerous others.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Asian Studies from the University of Lisbon, a testament to my commitment to deepening my understanding of the region. I was honored to be awarded a prestigious one-year scholarship for academic excellence by the Confucius Institute 里斯本大学孔子学院, which provided me with the opportunity to further my studies at Tianjin Foreign Studies University 天津外国语大学.Presently, I am pursuing my Master's degree in Global Diplomacy: East Asia at SOAS University of London, where I am actively engaged in researching and writing my dissertation. This academic endeavor critically analyzes Chinese government-sponsored investments in Angola, Brazil, and Portugal, delving into their implications and impact.Over the course of the past seven years, I have cultivated a truly international lifestyle, residing in six different countries, including Portugal, China, Bulgaria, Hungary, Estonia, and Thailand. This rich multicultural experience has instilled in me a profound appreciation for collaborative work within diverse teams.Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy taking leisurely walks while immersing myself in thought-provoking podcasts. Additionally, I enjoy unwinding with friends at a cozy pub, where we cheer on our favorite football team.
